CHAYAKADA™

Chayakada started as a dream—a vision to bring the charm of Kerala’s street-side tea shops to a wider audience, blending nostalgia with quality and authenticity. What began as a cloud kitchen quickly turned into something much bigger, driven by an overwhelming response from our community.

In the early days, operating as a cloud kitchen allowed us to test our menu, understand our customers, and refine our offerings without the overhead of a physical space. It was a proving ground where we experimented with flavors, perfected our signature chai blends, and built a loyal following.

However, something was missing. Chai isn’t just a drink—it’s an experience. In Kerala, chayakadas are more than tea stalls; they’re gathering places, hubs of conversation, and cultural touchpoints where people connect over a cup of tea and small bites. That’s what I wanted to recreate, and that’s why we took the leap from a cloud kitchen to a physical location.

Opening the first Kerala-style chai bistro in America was a bold step, but one that felt inevitable. Our new space isn’t just about serving great tea—it’s about community, culture, and conversation. It’s a place where people can slow down, savor traditional flavors, and feel a sense of belonging.

This journey from cloud kitchen to brick-and-mortar has been filled with challenges, lessons, and incredible support from our customers. Chayakada has evolved from an idea into a full-fledged café experience, but at its heart, it remains the same—a warm, welcoming space where every sip of CHAYA as we malayalees call it- will transport you back to God's Own Country.

Chayakada is more than just a café—it’s a space built on community and inclusion, where you’re never rushed to leave once your drink is finished. Here, you can unwind, connect, and truly relax, feeling at home with every sip. Our café is a safe place to celebrate your diversity and ethnicity without any qualms or judgment

Vision

To make chai a staple and go-to beverage in America, showcasing its health benefits and unique flavors compared to other drinks, while making authentic, freshly brewed chai as accessible as coffee—without having to travel far to enjoy it. We dream to bring people together through authentic chai experiences, cultural storytelling, and a deep sense of community—one cup at a time.
